Vingroup builds its own humanoids — robotics labeled “made in Vietnam”. VinMotion’s Motion 2 swaps its own battery and lifts 40 kg, and VinDynamics’ Dyno robot guide already greets guests at Vinpearl Safari on Phu Quoc. For Vietnamese business, this is a manufacturer in its own country: the same language, the same time zone and a short path from conversation to pilot.
How it works
Motion 2’s main trick is that it swaps its own battery. The robot walks up to a station, takes out the drained pack and puts in a charged one, without waiting for the battery to recharge. For a factory, this means work with almost no breaks: while one pack charges on the shelf, the robot is already carrying materials again. People only have to make sure the station always has charged packs.
Lifting 40 kg is harder for a humanoid than it looks: the load shifts the center of gravity, and the robot has to shift its own weight, like a mover pulling a crate in close. The strength comes from powerful motors in the hips, knees and shoulders, and the balance controller corrects the posture hundreds of times a second. VinMotion is aiming at light factory work: moving materials, inspection, assembly.
Vingroup has several lines of robots. VinMotion makes the industrial Motion 2, VinRobotics the VR-H3 robot, VinDynamics the Dyno robot guide, which already works with guests at Vinpearl Safari on Phu Quoc. Motion 2 was shown at CES in January 2026, and series production is planned for the end of 2026 — until then, the robots live in pilots and demonstrations.
Where it already works
- Vinpearl Safari, Phu Quoc — the Dyno robot guide from VinDynamics greets guests
- CES 2026 — VinMotion showed Motion 2 in January
- Light factory work — the target for Motion 2: moving materials, inspection, assembly
What to consider
- Series production of Motion 2 is planned for the end of 2026 — no price yet
- Right now only a pilot together with the manufacturer is realistic — you cannot buy the robot off the shelf
- 40 kg and self-swapping batteries are the manufacturer’s figures: test them on your own operation
- For Russia the route is complicated: there is no series production yet, and supply terms are discussed with the manufacturer separately
